Background

Scarlette Magazines is Ohio State Universities primer fashion magazine that releases seasonal issues and online articles, covering fashion related trends and stories worldwide.
​In spring of 2024, Scarlette Magazines teamed up with The Paper Bag Chronicles, a non profit that encourages self confidence in women. Together, they invited 3 designers to create looks for a photoshoot and an article.
As one of the 3 designers, I was asked to create a dress out of paper bags. The dress was then photographed and the models were interviewed. They were asked "Can you rock a paper bag?". This question is essentially asking "Can you find beauty in even the blandest objects?". This article is meant to inspire women and instill self confidence given the idea that women can look beautiful no matter what they are wearing.

Servitecture is a student run club from the Knowlton School of Architect.
​
Each year, the club hosts a completion where any major can compete and create a fashion collection that fits the theme.
​
Spring of 2024, the theme was alter ego. This theme encouraged designers to step out of their comfort zone and create garments out of unconventional materials other than fabric.
